We are designers, marketing enthusiasts and strategists.
We are a creative team with one goal in mind – helping our clients tell their stories, solidify their brand and get results. Our clients’ industries range from associations and nonprofits to entertainment to healthcare to politics. And remember that big things can come in small packages. Although we are a small boutique firm, we have worked on large scale projects for top industry professionals, such as The Simpsons for Fox Entertainment and the Obama presidential campaign. We pride ourselves on being attentive to our clients’ needs, providing a high level of reliability and responsiveness.
As founder and CEO of The Creative Industry, Ian lives and breathes everything design. He’s been an active part of the DC design community since the late 90’s. Ian graduated from University of the Arts in 1994 with a degree in Industrial Design and a focus in Graphic Design. After a brief stint designing and living in France, Ian decided to come back to DC and set up shop. Ian continues to be at the helm of The Creative Industry, moving the company forward and expanding our client base. In his spare time, Ian enjoys geeking out on technology with his sons.
Erin makes sure projects and office operations run smoothly on a day to day basis. Graduating from Miami University in 1998 with a degree in Anthropology, Erin started her career in DC with the Kaiser Family Foundation’s online health policy channel, kaisernetwork.org. She then worked for the American Association of Community Colleges as their online content manager. This experience lends well to The Creative Industry’s web projects and content development for clients. In her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time in her garden and entertaining friends and family.
The newest member of The Creative Industry, Stephen adds brand-new perspective and outlook to the team. He comes from Norfolk, VA and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts with a focus in Graphic Design from Old Dominion University. Stephen’s design experience ranges from in-house corporate design with Norfolk Southern Corp., to developing brand identities here in the DC area, to creating posters and websites and, happily, anything else thrown his way. When not working on design, Stephen can generally be found on a hiking adventure, on his mountain bike, or slouching in front of a TV screen for hours on his favorite video games.
